What is the treatment for piriformis syndrome? What can I do at home? The treatment for piriformis syndrome depends upon the chronicity of the disease. One of the treatment that you can do at home is piriformis syndrome exercise. It is aimed to relieve tension piriformis muscles and those surrounding the hip, therefore easing pressure on the sciatic nerve which causes piriformis syndrome.
Benefit of Piriformis Syndrome Exercise
There are many benefits of Piriformis syndrome exercise:
- Helps release spasm in the muscle and therefore pressure on the sciatic nerve.
- Improve performance
- Better range of motion
- Joint stabilisation
- To prevent injuries
- Reduce your risk of relapsing.
